April 2011 Shout-Out:

Rep. Stanley's office wanted to commend Pentucket grad and former Groveland resident Nate McDonald for his actions in assisting a woman who was being attacked near his apartment in Salem.  Read the full story, here.

Congratulations to the Triton Wrestling Team and their incredible win over Holliston! This is the first Division 3 Viking win in 27 years and it also set a new school record (24-4).  Read more about the match and Viking victory in the Daily News.

Rep. Stanley had the honor of hosting the Groveland Day Cake Walk this past Saturday.  Winners of the Cake Walk were:

1st Place: Maddie Binding and Sophie Capobianco for "McDonalds"

2nd Place: Jessie Potter for "Porcupine"

3rd Place: Shane Potter for "Trouble"

Honorable Mentions: Max & Grace and Elizabeth Inger

1st place for Adults was Alyson Del Castillo for "Strawberry"

Mac Cavanaugh has recently returned from Nicaragua on a week-long baseball trip, as reported in the Daily News, he and other players used baseball as a common denominator between American youngsters and their counterparts in Nicaragua.

Tommy Beaton, a Pentucket alum who graduated from Bates College on May 30th this year, was named New England Small Colleges Athletic Conference All-Conference in baseball and football, as reported in the Daily News.
